Question: How do I reconnect to my son who has become distant from me?  

Question:  My child doesn't like visits with her dad.  I can't not send her (because it is court-ordered, and because this would make her dad even harder to get along with than he already is).  How should I handle this?

Question: "I feel really mean when I "order" my kid to do something.  Can't I be a little more civil to her by saying, "I really need the dishes washed.  How about it?"

Question:  I can't always stay right there in the room when my child is working on a task.  I've got my own work to do.  And what about if the phone rings, and I've got to answer it.  Do I have to be "locked in the room" with my child until the job is done?
